Using ADS1293 in custom circuits without the use of Evaluation Module

I am working on a wireless ECG application and I have got Free samples from TI. This is my first attempt and I am totally novice. I am clueless about how to use the AFE and Bluetooth module on a custom designed PCB. Do I essentially need to purchase an EVM or I can go ahead with PCB design? Do I need to program ADS1293 and bluetooth module before it can be used?

Hello Abhinav,

The EVMs are helpful to experiment and familiarize yourself with new devices.

If you are referring to the Wireless Heart Monitor with Bluetooth Low Energy board, this is a reference design and is not available for sale as an EVM, so you would have to build the PCB. The design files for the board and the firmware for the CC2541 are available in the same page.
