We plan to start a oximeter product for family usage.

Could anyone recommend any TI solutions and chips for me?

We want to design it with the simplest circuit because of the cost and family usage only. If TI has a MCU with algorithm will be better.

This features our AFE4490 for Pulse Ox measurement, an MSP430 as the MCU, along with the CC3541 for BLE connectivity.

Dear Amy,

Thanks for your information.

I checked the files, we plan to design with BLE CC2541 for wireless transmission.

Another question, we worry that the material cost of chip AFE4490 should be very high.

Do you have any more simple solutions for choice?

Above also from TI website, do you think this solution is ok for designing a oximeter for family use(not for hospital)?

What's the difference between this with AFE4490 solution?

AFE4400 is cheaper

Sure. For your application you can switch out the AFE4490 for the AFE4400.

Thanks for your reply. I am not fully understand about "reflective or transmissive application". Sorry for my poor English...

We want make a product for our customer like this picture following.

It a finger oximeter for family monitoring. The desigh like this: sensor + MCU + BLE.

Another question need your help, where I can find any hardware and software support for AFE4400 ?

If you need software support regarding the TI Design. You could inquire from the MSP430 team. We provide the source code as a starting point for our customers to use if there is a business case.
