Hi,
I'm using the ADS8422 in a design, and have a question about the circuit connection.
It says on the data sheet about the CAP1 and CAP2 pins:
"Decoupling of internally generated 3-V supply. Add 1-μF capacitor from these pins to AGND."
Does it mean add 2 separate 1uF caps between each pin and AGND and not have the 2 pins connected, or to tie both pins together and put 1 capacitor to AGND? (My guess is tying both together and adding a single capacitor since it says "capacitor", not "capacitors")
None of the schematics on the data sheet show the actual connection.
Thank you.
Hi,
I agree that the description is a little misleading.
You need to connect two separate 1uF capacitors, each placed close to the corresponding CAPx pins to AGND.

Sandeep
