I saw this problem covered in a couple of different postings, but considering the nuances that can be present with such things, I'm posting this.
I have attached a group of pictures conveying my exact issue. In short, given my current configuration I receive the error that appears in the picture. I have read elsewhere in these forums that this might be an issue regarding the internal/external clock and certain jumpers, but these references are vague to me.
For background, I am an engineering student doing assistant work for a professor. This content is just above what I've learned in my curriculum, so any layman by the numbers explanation would be greatly appreciated.
