DAC3484 EVM waveform

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC3484

Hello

I would like to know how to remove Spurous signal on DAC3484 EVM.

The detail configuration information is attatched as PPT.

Please let me know the reason of generating spurous signal in Red circle.

Thanks and Best Regards8054.TSW1400 - DAC3484 EVB_WTK wibro.ppt

  • Hello Jin Kyung,

    This spur may be the Fs/4 + Fout spur. (i.e. 1000MSPS/4 + 383MHz = 633MHz spur. This folds back to 1st Nyquist at 367MHz).

All types of clock related mixing spurs have a 1:1 frequency movement ratio. If the customer can move the NCO from 352.5MHz to 353.5MHz, I believe the spur will move from 367MHz to 366MHz.

My past experience of Fs/4 mixing spur are near 70+dBc. around this frequency range. Could the customer forward the EVM config file so we can check if there are some un-used Fs/4 clocks that can be turned off to reduce the Fs/4 clock coupling.
