ADS1298 60 Hz Notch

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298

I am interested in understanding better the 60 Hz built-in notch filter of the ADS1298. There is evidence that the notch filter exists as a built-in feature. I look at Figure 13, which shows total harmonic distortion as a function of frequency, and you can see that at 60 Hz the harmonic distortion peaks, indicating the presence of the notch.

So, what I am wondering is whether this notch can be changed. I have a project where the device is going to be used in overseas countries where the power frequency is 50 Hz.

I don't want to add a bunch of analog parts to the design: I want to stick with the ADS1298 doing the notch filtering.

Would the solution be just to change the crystal frequency to 50/60 x 2.048 Mhz?

Note: I am not using the standard development board, and am interfacing the ADS1298 with another processor.
