ADC Maximum Operating Temperatures

It would be very useful if the parametric search featured the maximum operating temepratures of the ADC. Most other manufacturers do.

My application requires a part that will operate at 105 degrees C and it would be useful to be able to select ADCs based on temperature.

Great idea! I'll talk with our web site folks and see if we can get that feature added in there. In the meantime, if you don't mind telling me what you need as far as speed, resolution and channel count, I may be able to point you to some converters that meet or exceed your temp range requirements.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your response. I wanted a range of converters to put forward a couple of design options (price vs performance) to my project manager.

The requirements are:

105 degrees C or greater

12 to 16 bit

>1ksps ideally around 100ksps

1 channel

0-5v input range

5v supply

Hi Luke,

The ADS7886 is one part that comes to mind. That device is rated -40 to 125C and can run up to 1MSPS. Running at 100ksps should not be an issue.
