ADS7263 Initialization through PIC32 SPI

Hi

I am using ADS7263 with PIC32 SPI interfaces. Using In MODE 4, with external Reference.

Can u help me to use commands to initialize ADS7263???

M unable to get any data from ADC.

My busy bus is going high properly according CONVST pulse. But no data on SDOA line.

Pls help.

If possible pls give any example code.

    Hi Ashwini,

    It sounds like you are not getting the proper RD signal to the ADS7263.  The CONVST can be applied at anytime and you should see the BUSY signal go active.  RD however, must be qualified with a falling SCLK edge (with a setup and hold time of 5ns).   If by chance you are using the ADS7263 in its fully differential mode, I may have some code for the MSP430 that you can use.  Unfortunately I do not have any PIC sample code to share with you.

    Hi Tom,

    Now I am getting data om SDOA line which i can see on DSO. But m not getting that data in SPI1BUF buffer.

    Any suggestions pls?

    Hi Ashwini,

    Hard to say without seeing a schematic or the hardware why you are not getting data into your buffer.  Do you have the correct clock phase parameters setup on your processor?

    Hi Tom,

    Is there any command to check wheather ADS7263 is initialized or not through PIC32 SPI???

    Now I am not getting any data from ADC.

    I send 0x1040 command to upadte CONFIG register, initialize ADC. Then sending 0x1001 command to read CONFIG register. But its not working. Not getting any data. i am getting only 0x00008000 in all condition.

    Is there any command to initialize ADS7263????

    Would you help me?? Also pls give some information about clock setup.

    Hi Ashwini,

    To understand what might be going on with your hardware I really need to see some sort of scope or logic analyzer capture of your SDI/SDO and SCLK.  The RD and CONVST compared to the SCLK would be useful as well.  Can you provide that detail?

    Hi Tom,

    My clock siganls are ok. 

    RD and CONVST are short. After every 2nd clock signal my BUSY goes high.

    I think my unable to initialize ADS7263 through software.

    ADC is configured in Mode 4, with RD and CONVST short.

    Can u help me in commands from SPI to initialize ADS7263.

    Hi Tom,

    I did the same procedure as per the document but still m not getting any data.

    M trying to read register value but not getting any value.

    M sending 0x1043 to Read REFDAC1 register content but no data.

    can you share code for the MSP430 with ADS7263.
