Hello,
I am conducting an academic project and would like to analyze the muscular activity of the chewing muscles (masseter and temporal) using the TI ADS1298ECGFE-PDK kit. I've read several articles on the forum such as wojnas joshua and the user guide and not solved my problem.
The idea would be to develop something like this project, using the ADS1298:

I'm connecting the electrodes directly into the channels jumpers, and the reference electrode in RLDOUT (J1). I configured the software to RLDREF fed externelly but still not getting the expected result.
My questions are:
1 - What should be the software configuration to use a reference electrode, and where this electrode must be connected to the board?
2 - Any additional protection for the electrodes connected directly at (J26-J33) channel is required?
3 - Can be performed serial communication with the MSP430?
Other issues not related:
The software works very poorly in Windows 8.1, the resolution window is unconfigured, crashes for no reason and sometimes I can not export the data to excel. Is there any updated version?
Basically I have questions not answered on this topic:

Thank you.
