TSW14J56 & ADS42JB69 Capture Number of Samples

Hi, I am using the TSW14J56EVM with the ADS42JB69EVM.  Using the High Speed Data Converter software I should be able to capture 512M total samples.  The ADS42JB69 has 2 channels so I should be able to capture 256M samples each but I'm only able to input 128M samples per channel.  I am using the ADS42JB69_LMF_421 firmware. Is there a setting I need to change or do I need a different firmware?

    Hi Thai,

    The ini files attached can enable you to capture 512Msamples per channel from ADS42JB69. Put these files into <HSDCPRO install directory>/14J56 Details/ADC files. Start HSDCPRO software and select one of these ini files from the device list.

    Hi Eben,

    Thank you for the files but could you send me one ini file that will capture both Channels A & B of the A/D at the same time with the max number of samples to capture (256M samples each channel?).

    Hi Eben,

    I tried using the 2 files you sent me.  I put them in the directory and when I tried to select the files from the GUI, I get an error message "Error 7 occurred at Call Library Function Node in TSW1400.lvlib: 14J56_Family id of the device.vi->TSW1400.lvlib:Frame.vi".  Now, I can't select any files because that message keeps coming up.  I exited and restart the computer and same error.

    I apologize for this. The software may not  support some of the features in this new ini file I sent. I will confirm and get back to you. Please provide your email address so I can send you directly a version of the software compatible with the new ini file.

    Hi Weibo,

    Please provide more details of your test setup such as the FPGA eval board you are using with the TSW14J10 and the number of samples/channel you like to capture.

    I will check if the FPGA eval board has enough external memory to hold the samples you need.

    Also the TSW14J56 REV D eval board has enough memory to capture 512Msamples per channel so the limitation is removed when you are connected to this board.
