ADS7958 (QFN package) control registers

Hi ,

I am using ADS7958SRGET in my design. I have few queries listed below.

1. Is it possible to power-up the device via in-band signalling (SPI Frame) ?

2. Can system-level soft-reset be asserted (via in-band signalling) ?

3. If the control registers get bombarded with random bit patterns, is there any likelihood that the device can  go      into an un-recoverable state? OR

4. Are there any hidden (unpublished) SPI  accessible registers (like when device is used in TI’s internal testing / debug / manufacturing environments) which may get effected when  control registers get bombarded with random bit patterns.
