Hallo,

Can the ADS7863A be used in the input range of 0V to 5V?
Looking at Table 9 of the datasheet, it seems that the input full-scale range of CHxx+ is 5V when CHxx– = VREF = 2.5 V, and the output ‘7FF’ will be 5V and ‘800’ be 0V.
If possible to use CHxx+ as 5V full-scale single-end input,
Does it degrade the accuracy of the analog signal conversion to the digital?
Could you please advise me?

Hi Ogawa-san,

Yes, you can use the ADS7863A in single ended mode by taking the REFOUT and connecting it to CHxx(-). That will allow you to swing the CHxx(+) input from 0V - 5V. You can achieve the specified data sheet accuracy using the ADS7863A in this configuration as long as you follow the recommended layout configuration noted in Figure 43 and follow the advice provided in the 'Application Information' section of the datasheet.
