Hi Team,

Please let us ask you about firmware source, "AFE4300EVM-PDK Firmware Source v1.0".

Our customer is trying to communicate to the device with UART from PC to the AFE4300 Evaluation kit. They want to communicate without using GUI. They are building a simple firmware based on the above firmware source, however, they do not have response from AFE4300.

Could you please tell us how we can access to the device without using the GUI.

Hello Kawai,

To communicate with AFE4300 using MSP430, customer has to use Serial Peripheral interface (SPI) and not UART.

To communicate with the evaluation kit through PC without using the GUI, customer can use either hyperterminal or other terminal emulation programs like Putty, Teraterm etc.

I have attached the message communication protocol for the AFE4300 Evaluation module kit.

Hello Praveen-san,

Our customer were not able to communicate to the evaluation kit from PC without GUI using hyperterminal.

The problem was that they did not type "?" in their hyperterminal command, like "rst" and "radc". Now the problem is resolved.

Hi, I have some issue with serial communication, I used baud rate 57600 and 8N1 with no flow control on Putty all I get is a blinking cursor and when I type any command I can not see it display on the serial terminal window and I do not get anything back form the devboard. Is there something that I missed?
