hi,

i'm interfacing afe4400 through spi with SBC (single board computer).

i wanted to know SCLK frequency.

Also i want to know basic software testing set up required to test whether it is working or not?

    Hello,

    Max. SCLK frequency is 16 MHz. Details about the SPI interface is provided in Section 8.5 of the AFE4400 datasheet.

    To test the digital interface, you can write to a register (for example, register address 1) and read it back. A couple of caveats:

    1. To read back the registers, SPI_READ bit (CONTROL0 register D0) must be set.
    2. CONTROL0 register is a write only register.

    To test the AFE, program the AFE with the EVM default register settings and when the optical sensor is connected to the board, the LEDs should turn on.
