ADS1293 sample rate/ODR rate

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1293

Hi !

Some quick directions please

I have the ADS1293 with CC2541 and I am trying to change the sample rate of ECG Channels. I have changed the ODR according to the table 5 to 8 in the data sheet, after that I run the android program to communicate the device. After that I verify the number of samples in 1 second but the samples received doesn't match the ODR rate . I have tried many things to change it but I still do not have success.

  • Hi Mari,

As a sanity check, can you probe the DRDYB pin of the ADS1293 with a scope, while data conversion is active, and verify that the device is configured for the output data rate that you want? The signal on this pin should transition from high to low when new data is available, and its frequency should match the output data rate of the channel driving the DRDYB signal (which is selected in address 0x27).

This experiment should help narrow down where to focus.

    Thanks,
    Sergio
  • Hi sergio,

First of all sorry for my late reply. the ads1293 data rate was achieved by doing small changes in connection interval time of ble.

Now i am in need of some assistance regarding real time monitoring  with ads1293.i have connected the electrode with the body. The ecg signal were converted as ADC in ads1293 and transferred to android via ble.

the signal received is full of noise and didn't receive any pqrst signal. where as when connected to the simulator i have get smooth signal PQRST wave.

Could  you guide me the parameters to check  for real time monitoring.

    Thanks!!!

  • Hi Mari,

Let me also apologize for the delay. I added a brief comment to your other post. I think it's better to follow up there, as this new topic is not relevant to the original subject of this thread.

    Thanks,

    Sergio
