Hello, I am looking some differential OP AMPs as Front-end buffer for ADC ADS5409 or ADS5401, the power supply rail for  the OP AMP buffer will be +/-6V. Is there any suggestion to use which TI OP AMPs? Thanks. Jason

    You should be able to find what you are looking for using the parametric search tool in the Fully Differential Amplifier section at TI.com here:

    I have sorted for supply voltages of 12V and higher. Possible candidates are the LMH6552 and THS4502. You can optimize other parameters to find what fits your application best.

    Hi,

    You don't say anything about your input signal, what your frequency range of the input is or what kind of gain you require, so I would not be able to provide a good suggestion.  The best suggestion I think would be to post in our high speed amplifier forum and ask there.  They would be much more familiar with their product line and they also would be better able to ask for the pertinent information about your input signal.

    Our typical setup for the evaluation module is with transformer coupling, and there is a reason for that.  When we want to make an evaluation module for one of our data converters we wish to show the performance the data converter is capable of.  With an amp in the signal path the resulting performance must be that of the system of amp plus data converter, and there are so many options available for the front end.   That said, we often do provide an option for an amp on one of the EVM input channels if we can highlight a most common use case for that particular EVM.  The ADS5402 family did not get such an optional amp on the EVM.   I don't know of an amp right off that takes a +/- 6V supply.  With the differential input of the ADC biased about midway between ground and the ADC supply, we dont usually look for an amp with +/- supplies.  One of the newer amps with very good performace that we have been putting on some of our other ADC EVMs is the THS4541.  It commonly takes a 5V and ground supply, but that matches up well with our ADC EVMs anyway.   Take a look at that device please, and if it is not suitable then I would suggest posting in our high speed amps forum.
