More Accurate Clock of 100ppm to 0.1% for ADS1192 and AFE4403?

Hello,

ADS1192 internal clock accuracy is 0.5%,typ and 1.5%,max, and AFE4403's Murata ceramic resonator is 0.5%,typ. However, to pass regulations like FDA, the clock accuracy is beter to be less than 0.1% or better less than 100pm, so can you suggest solutions to implement higher accurate clocks?

Hello Ming,

I am not an expert on FDA regulations to provide solutions for high accuracy clocks for AFE4403.
You may want to check with crystal module vendors for your requirements.

For ADS1192, I am moving the post to Precision Data converters forum that covers this device.

I would agree with Praveen. Ceramic resonators tend to be less accurate than crystal based oscillators. There are plenty of crystal oscillators that are available that will give you the accuracy that you need. Remember that you need the full oscillator and not a simple resonator.

I'm referring to the ADS1192 needing a full oscillator. Apparently the AFE4403 uses a simple resonator. For the ADS1192, you can refer to the evaluation module to see what is used in the schematic.
