OTRA pin usage in ADS1675

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1675

Hi,

I am using ADS1675 ADC in my board. It has OTRA input pin which indicates Analog input out of range and shoud be drived from analog source. Kindly explain below points

  1.  What is the use of OTRA pin inside ADC.
  2.  Whether we need to put separate circuit to generate OTRA

Regatds,

  • Hello Arun -
The OTRA pin should be marked as a digital output pin in the TERMINAL FUNCTION table of the datasheet. It is an indicator that the analog input signal is out-of-range. More details can be found on page 23 of the ADS1675 datasheet.
