LMP90100 excessive current consumption in standby and powerdown modes

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP90100

Hi,

We have a mature design with two LMP90100s. Recently, we've been trying to optimize the system power consumption and after some digging around have found that the LMP90100's are drawing an unexpected 80uA into the digital supply pin while the converter is in either standby or powerdown mode.

Per the datasheet (rev Q, pp 7) the power consumption should be no more than 5-10uA in these modes.

The system is running at 3V (both digital and analog supplies) and is otherwise performing normally. We are using the internal clock and have disabled the auto-detect clock feature. We are not using the digital IO lines and have tried making them outputs, but this does not resolve the 80uA draw in standby/powerdown.

Thanks for your help,

loren
