ADS8881 / about tquiet

Guru 20090 points

Hello,

Can I set the falling edge of SCLK during the tquiet (Quiet time) of 20ns?
Could you please let me know the prohibited matter during the tquiet?

Best Regards,
Ryuji Asaka

  • Hello Asaka-san,

Basically none of the interface input signals (SCLK and CONVST) should be toggled during tquiet. The maximum specified frequency of SCLK is 16MHz, which translates to a 62.5ns period. Assuming a duty cycle of 50% it will not be possible to switch SCLK (have a rising edge) during tquiet. So the only input to be careful with is CONVST which can be switched after allowing a miniumum of 20ns following the start of tquiet.
