DAC3482EVM with FMC-DAC-ADAPTER

Hi Team,

My customer received DAC3482EVM and FMC-DAC-ADAPTER and he tried to connect them, however he said J13 connector of DAC3482EVM and J2 connector of FMC-DAC-ADAPTER didn't match.

I found the following description in DAC3482EVM User's guide.
Is the following description wrong?

The on-board HSMC connector input allows direct connection to the HSMC compatible Altera development platforms, and the externally attached FMC-DAC-Adapter board available from TI enables the connection of the EVM to the Xilinx development platforms with FMC headers.

What can I do for my customer about this issue?

Hi Yaita,

Revision D of the FMC-DAC-Adapter is recommended for use with the DAC3482EVM. Can you confirm what revision of DACEVM and FMC-DAC-ADAPTER that your customer has?

Thank you for your quick reply.
My customer confirmed his boards as the following.
-FMC-DAC-ADAPTER：Rev.D
-DAC3482EVM：Rev.G

Are these unrecommended combination?
My customer would like to evaluate these board right now, so your help would be appreciated.

Hi Yaita,

I need more details on what you mean by "the connectors did not match"? Are some of the connections not routed or they cannot be physically connected?

Hi Yaita,

Both EVMs have standard HSMC connector and I have verified that I am able to connect them together. I will need more detailed information to help me know exactly what is going on. Pictures will help.

I heard my customer couldn't still connect them.
I got the image from my customer.

Is your DAC3482EVM rev.G?
