Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC38J84EVM, DAC38J84, LMK04828

Hi,

Can you able to provide the DAC register setting for the below configuration.

1. x4 JESD204 serdes lanes
2. x2 Interpolation
3. 16 bit DAC resolution
4. Sampling rate of 1.2Gsps
4. A & D output channel
5. JESD data rate of 6Gbps
6. SerDes PLL clock of 1.5GHz (As I want to use full data rate)

Let me know If any other information is needed for setting the configuration.

Regards
Soumya

  • Hi Soumya,

Please get the DAC38J84 GUI from the DAC38J84EVM product page (link below) and then follow the steps below to generate a configuration.

    DAC38J84 Configuration Instructions:

    1. Setup the Quick Start as shown in the picture (based on your settings)

    2. Click "Program LMK04828 and DAC3XJ8X"
    3. Click "Reset DAC JESD Core"
    4. To set the output DACs to A and D, go to "DAC3XJ8X Controls" tab and then select "Dig Block 2". Change the output mux settings as shown in the figure below. Put DAC B to sleep and take DAC D out of sleep (also shown below).

    5. Select the "Low Level View" tab to get the configuration
