ADS1293EVM 3 lead Application

Hello,

Our team is designing a 3 lead application ECG. Could you let us know if the following configuration work? 

IN1-  RA

IN2- LA

IN3 - RA

IN4 - Third electrode

IN5-LA

IN6-Third electrode

this similar to the picture below.

    Please take a look at page 63 of datasheet. Figure 84 on this page shows exactly how to connect the electrodes to the CH1 and CH2 pin-by-pin. You need to have a Right leg drive electrode as a ground reference between the patient body and the ECG board. In addition to reducing the common mode noise, the RL electrode provides a needed low impedance path between the body and ground for the lead-off detection feature functions properly. This path can be created internally as well by programming the Flex MUX to connect the out put of the RLD Amp to one of the electrodes internally, avoiding the need for the forth electrode ( RLD ). My recommendation is to implement this functionality as shown in Figure 84 of datasheet.
