AFE4400 Signal Denoising

Hello TI,

I have connected the AFE4400 to an Arduino Uno using simple wires and am trying to read out data from the front end, while passing it to MATLAB to be plotted. However the data appear to be really noisy. Is it that because I am using wires to connect the two boards that there is so much noise a PPG pattern is not even visible? Are there any other sources of noise that I should correct for?

    Hello Abhishek,

    You may want to take the FFT spectrum of the raw data to identify the unwanted tones which could be coming from external sources.

    As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, the noise in the data could also be sourced through the power lines. You could do the following to check if it reduces the noise.
    1. Run the laptop on battery.
    2. Keep the EVM and the sensor away from the laptop screen and also away from other noise generating sources like oscilloscopes, power supplies.
