AFE4403 Watch- tools need to add functionality to EVM ?

Hello,

I'm considering have AFE4403 Watch EVM ,I would like to know a little more about this kit.

1)      Does the measured data can be received by any device compatible with BLE (i.e. smartphone)? What is the format of transmitted data? Are there any code examples available?

2)      Is measured signal the data directly from the ADC or are there any data processing applied?

3)      Can I measure SpO2 using this kit?

4)      Is it possible to add my own data processing algorithms to device's firmware (extend firmware)?

5)      What tools and hardware do I need to add functionality to EVM ? Are there any documentation of existing firmware available  and examples for BLE, SpO2 sensor? Or do I need to write my own firmware from scratch?

    For every thing regarding the firmware you will reply as can we take this discussion offline in the forum?

    Can you tell me which tool is required to write the firmware for AEF4403 EVM and to dump it to the EVM kit?

    Can you give me some link or some example codes for the kit?

    Can i get the info about the firmware which is currently running in the device?

    Do you have any example code related to the BLE module of AEF4403 EVM?

    The major concern is that after the firmware update which is specified in the manual of AFE4403, the device will stop working this same problem is reported by many and some examples are given below. If the the firmware update is not working correctly then why are you suggesting it to do?

    Its been more then a month my device AFE4403 is not working after the firmware update and even i am not getting any support for TI!!!!

    1. You can use Code Composer Studio (CCS) or IAR to write the firmware.
    2. EVM example code can be found on the AFE4403EVM product folder under tools and software. The watch default firmware can be sent to you if you provide an email address.
    3. Most of our customers work with 3rd party algorithm developers to get their firmware to fit their application as we have found each application varies. We put bluetooth in our design only from a hardware perspective and support that. However, we do not have code to support the bluetooth capability. That is something we leave in the hands of our customers and since many of our customers wanted that option, we included the necessary hardware , but not the software.
