ADS1210P Simulation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, ADS1220, ADS1230, ADS1231, ADS1232

HI i have a problem can't solve it .

i'm working in project with ADS1210P but i can't found any software where can be  simulated

even a packages in TINA-TI

PLZ help me i'm helpless

  • Hi Jbali,

Welcome to the forum! Do you actually have an ADS1210P?  You may have a hard time getting one if you don't already have one.  I'm going to make a guess that you chose this part because of the DIP package which is easier to prototype.

To answer your question it is next to impossible to create a simulation that would encompass this part or most delta-sigma data converters.  There are too many variations of operation that interact with each other.  You could build your own analog input simulation based on Figure 11 of the datasheet.  The digital filter is sinc3 and info is on page 12 of the datasheet.

If I knew a little more about your application I might be able to suggest an easier part to work with than the ADS1210 which is quite an old part.  Is there something specific you would like to determine from simulation?

  • Hi Bob B,
thank you for your answer .I don't have an ADS1210P for now ,i'm working in weight scale with raspberry .and choose ADS1210P for ir resolution and the DIP package .and for the PGA controlled with PIC18F through SPI interface .
    I'm greatful
  • Hi Jbali,

The ADS1210P is not recommended for new design as the DIP package is reaching obsolescence.  For weigh scale designs with integrated amplifiers take a look at the following devices:

    ADS1220

    ADS1230

    ADS1231

    ADS1232

    Best regards,
