I obtained a superfluous "One-Touch-Ultra" glucose meter with a large monochrome LCD that looks very tempting. The display is marked :"DWG1934 A" and is attached to the main board by a six-conductor ribbon-- I'm assuming they talk by SPI or maybe I2C. The number is meaningless by itself, but the largest chip on the main board has the TI logo and says (first line):"85D6L5TG4" (the last two are underlined and sort of compressed); (second line) "DWG2566A"; (third line) "Rev D". Internet searches have turned up nothing. Is DWG for Development Working Group? And is this chip some sort of ASIC or ASSP, maybe designed with an ARM processor core? -BJL
