ADS1299EEG-FE PDK Device Drivers for Windows 8.1 -64 bit

Hi,

I just received the ADS1299EEG-FE EVM with MMB0 and am trying to hook it with my PC (Windows 8.1 64-bit). The auto-driver installation of windows 8 kicked off and ended with no notification. I ran the TI software ADS1299EEG-FE PDK and it showed "firmware not found" --> Download failed. Reset Hardware --> The firmware load has failed due to a timeout condition.

On checking the device manager I found the device to be as "Unknown Device". I then tried to update device driver from the installation directory and get the following error.

Please reply ASAP with a suggested solution.

Hello Shanjit,

Unfortunately this EVM does not support Windows 8, but some users have gotten it to work in the past. Try installing the driver for the 64-bit version of Windows 7 from the link here and let me know if that works.

I tried installing the 64 bit version, but the installation rolled back and got this notification:
"MMB0 Driver Installer Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error."

Hi,

I am experience this problem while trying to change any register values, use test signal or try channel acquisition.

Can you please clarify what is it thats going wrong? I tried searching the error code and all... but to no avail.

Hey Shanjit,

That error tends to show up when the styx driver was not installed correctly. Most likely that is due to a compatibility problem with WIndows 8. The software was built for use with Windows 7 and unfortunately we are not able to support use of this software with Windows 8.
