We are trying to use TI's solution on our new BONE DESITOMETER SYSTEM. I read the introduction about the TX_SDK_V2 evaluation board, the board includes
1、LM96530 Octal T/R Switch Fout 1MHz-20MHz acording to the datasheet
2、LM96550 Octal High Voltage Pulser Fout 1MHz-15MHz acording to the datasheet
3、LM96570 Octal Digital Beamformer Fout 0.625MHz-80MHz acording to the datasheet
I think these integrated chips may can be used in our system. But I have some questions. Wish for your help.
In our system, we want to use several different ultrasonic transducers, the center frequencies ranges from 0.1MHz to 10MHz. So, we want the transmit circuit can work in the frequency range of 0.1MHz-10MHz. (We maynot use LM96570, instead, we use a FPGA for beamformer)
Q1、Can the High Voltage Pulser LM96550 suit for our needs? Although the datasheet says LM96550 work in
1MHz-15MHz,but I still wondering whether it can work in 0.1MHz-1MHz. I think the MOSFETs usually work more easily in lower frequency, isn't it? If the LM96550 cannot work in 0.1MHz-10MHz, is there any other solution that can feed our needs?
Q2、Can the T/R Switch LM96530 suit for our needs? Although the datasheet says LM96530 work in 1MHz-20MHz,but I still wondering whether it can work in 0.1MHz-1MHz. I think the diode bridge usually work more easily in lower frequency, isn't it? If the LM96530 cannot work in 0.1MHz-10MHz, is there any other solution that can feed our needs?
Q3、The peak current of LM96550 is 2A, but our ultrasonic transducer takes 10A peak current. The LM96550 provide 8 outputs, I want to connect 5 outputs together to drive our ultrasonic transducer. Do you think it's OK to do that?
