ADS1298ECGFE-PDK : Connecting with Electrodes

Hi all,

I am trying to acquire a signal by connecting it with electrodes now. I am connecting the electrode to the D15 connector according to the following diagram:

I have connected the electrodes to the right arm (RA), left arm (LA), left leg (LL) and right leg (RL).
However, the ECG analysis scope shows just a straight line.

I am attaching the screenshots for the control register settings that I have set .

Hey Komal,

Have you already hit the "ACQUIRE" button to collect the data and that is the data you've received? If that is the case, what are your connections on JP26-JP33?

Yes. I hit the"acquire" data and this is what I got. I have not removed the jumpers from JP26-JP33 so there is nothing attached to them. Is a straight line to be expected if there is a break in the connections between the electrodes and the D15 connector?

Hey Komal,

If the inputs were floating you'd expect to see a lot of noise at the output. Zoom in on the scope to see what the data looks like. If the data is on the order of a few microvolts then that suggests input shorts. If the data is really just zeros then the issue is probably something else and we can investigate further.
