DAC161s997 Schematic differences datasheet vs. app notes

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC161S997

hello,

we are currently using the DAC161S997 as a 4-20mA current loop driver.

I am a little bit confused because of the different placements of the 100/200 Ohm series resistor.

In the datasheet, that resistor should be placed in series before the LDO. The path to the output transistor PTZ3904 is arranged without any series resistance.

On the other hand, when we look at the schematics of the two Ti DAC161S997 Applications (tidu385 and tidu182a)  show on your website, that 100/200 Ohm Resistor is placed in series to the transistor and not in series to the LDO.

What is the reason for this difference, and what would be my preferable placement and arrangement?

best regard, Hans
