Impedance sensor(Phase and magnitude)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4300

Hi,

i need some suggestions for my application, i am looking for a sine wave generator ic, with adjustable offset and frequency, secondly i need to calculate phase and magnitude of a sensor is there any chip available, if they have evaluation board then perfect. at the end i would like to use chips on my designed pcb to work like a whole automated system.

Regards

Bilal

  • D M8,

Could you tell us a little more about your specific application? This will help us to better point you in the right direction.

  • 1) I want to generate sine wave signal with frequency 1 kHz to 1 MHz and amplitude not more than 100mV peak to peak with offset 60mV. please find attachment for sine wave generation.PNG.
    2) Is there any Constant Current source IC. after generating sine wave signal i want to make Voltages controlled current source (Constant current source). that will be injected into RC filter.
    3) then i have a RC filter, just a resistor and variable capacitor in series. please refer to attached file RC Circuit. i want to measure the phase change due to capacitor between point A & B and also the magnitude loss at point B. I want some PGA(Phase and Gain) recommendations for setup like i have described.
please some convincing explanation is required, would be great if DDS(Direct Digital Synthesis) and PGA(Phase and Gain) detector also come with Evaluation boards.
  • D M8,

You can refer to the AFE4300 datasheet found on our product folder.
