ADS1292 Demonstration kit: can't export to Excel

Dear all,

I want to do some signal analysis on the Live ECG/RESP Display by exporting the data to Excel. However, whenever I choose this option, I though I only had to press "paste" in Excel to get that data, but nothing happens.

And if I choose to export to Clipboard and then do "paste" in any other software, this is what I get:

Samples - Plot 0 Volts - Plot 0

Am I missing something?

Also, Is there a big difference between the Analysis tab and the Live ECG/RESP Display? besides, of course, the options for FFT, filtering, histogram and such?

Hey Ernesto,

After you select your method of saving the data, I have to click "Acquire". Only then will the data be stored or saved. Are you doing it in this order?

The Live ECG/RESP Display tab is just a convenient display for biopotential measurements. There is no inherent difference between the displays.

So, before I press acquire or streaming, I selected the export mode, and then I start streaming (or I press acquire). Once I stop streaming (or the signal has stop being acquired), I hit "copy data" and it only copies the graph, not data points in text.

Anything that I'm doing wrong there?

Hey Ernesto,

Have you tried having the EVM save the file using the "Save" tab?

I haven't. I will try it now. However, my main interest was on using it on the live streaming since I thought that this would accumulate data that I could then export to excel, but I have not been able to export it yet; only the graph bitmap.

But I've also noticed that I've been able to export data sometimes from the Analysis tab. I press "export to clipboard", then I ran acquire, then I do copy data, and the graph is only copied. However, at times this has worked and I've been able to copy a list of values to excel (using the clipboard option, the excel option never worked)

Hey Ernesto,

I can tell you now that there is no way to stream the data from the EVM to a file. The EVM was built to be an evaluation platform and as such it is only capable of exporting chunks of data that have already been collected.

Ok, then whoever designed the software should make this option unavailable in the live streaming tab, otherwise you're just misleading the users.
