Hello,

I'm studying Electrical Engineering at the HTWG Konstanz, Germany. At the moment I'm writing my Bachelor thesis about "Semiconductor devices - recent trends".

Do you know anything about the semiconductor market?

How many semiconductor devices like BGA, Flip Chip, QFP aso are manufactured every year?

I know HOW the devices are manufactured and what the (dis)advantages are but I can't find anything about the market.

Could you please help me?

    Hallo Robin,

    I think we can say we (=TI) 'know a little' about the semiconductor industry :-).
    However we (the the team of application engineers who support this forum) usually know little about those type of marketing questions. We are specialized in answering technical questions around our data converters. It might be better to ask one of those market research companies like Semicast, iSuppli, etc. about these type of questions. I am sorry that we cannot be of much help here.
