Hello all

I have been working on the ADS1298 ECG Front-End Performance Demonstration Kit. I am connecting the board to my laptop using the MMB0 board for past 4 months. I am ADS1298/8R EVM Evaluation Software for displaying my data. Recently the software stopped working in the middle of an acquisition. 

I get to the status message 'DSP not ready...Retrying' and then I get a firmware load error popup. Since I have been successfully using the software and the hardware equipment I don't think it is a driver issue.

Could you please tell me what else could be wrong with it?

    Hey Komal,

    Have you tried using a different USB port to run the EVM? I would also recommend closing and opening the EVM application each time you try reconnecting the board.

    I'd also to first remind you that the EVM contains sensitive electronic components without any form of casing that are prone to electrostatic discharge damage. We recommend taking full ESD precautions when using this EVM (dissipative wrist straps, ESD protected work surfaces, etc.). It's possible that if some component on the board was damaged by an ESD event that the system would no longer operates correctly.
