Hi,

ADC3222 Front-end Circuit(Opeamp)

1) Although analog input is ± 1V = 2Vpp, does it can be used in single-ended.   

     If possible, please tell me the circuit configuration.

2) In the data sheet, and to change the analog signal of single to differential, it's using a transformer,   

     We want to achieve an operational amplifier.   

     Please tell me the optimal device name. Further, the circuit does it also can suggest?

    Attached is a schematic that has an option for driving the ADC with an op amp. Why do you want to possibly drive single-ended? The performance will be reduced in most cases in this application. I am not sure if this device can be operated in this mode. I will get back with you on this.

    I thank you for your support.

    In previous circuit I was using the ADS5281 and THS4521.

    This time, it plans to use the ADC3222 and THS4521.

    (Transe and THS4541 was NG at a cost)

    In differential in THS4521 single-ended analog signal, enter the ADC3222.

    Different common voltage of the AD converter, but I believe that can be adjusted by the amplifier.

    Is my understanding is wrong? Do not work?

    Do you plan on connecting the THS5421 to the ADC in differential mode (recommended) or single-ended? I cannot tell from your message. The VCM output of the ADC should be connected to the VCM input of the THS5421 to provide the proper common mode signal to the ADC. Please send us your schematic and we will review for you.

  • Please refer to this TI Design. It is applicable for ADC3xxx family and the THS4541. Biggest difference is the performance spec of the THS4541 is better than the THS4521. But the same concept can be applied. We can ask the amp team for more help if needed to validate the schematic design.
