ADS1292r FE EVM Firmware

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1292R

Hi,  where can I get the firmware source code for the ADS 1292R Demonstration Kit? I need to re-write the firmware that before that I would like to have a original source code in case I messed up the whole thing. At the mean time, I want to add a Bluetooth module on that board, but it didn't tell the Part number of U12 in the User's Guide, , so I don't know which bluetooth module I can install on that board, could you help me with that?  Thank you.

  • Hey Xiang,

First I'd like to tell you that the EVM board was distributed with the sole purpose of serving as a platform for designers to evaluate the performance of the ADS1292R chip (i.e. SNR, THD, feature integration, etc.) before building their own unique system around that chip. We do not recommend using the board as a "development kit" or to be part of any end-application or end-equipment. Thus, it is our policy not to provide technical support for community members making changes to any part of the EVM from its release state, which includes firmware and hardware.

That being said, I can provide you with a link to all the source files for this EVM's software and firmware as long as you acknowledge that 1) the firmware is not optimized for end applications and was written specifically for this EVM and 2) you will not receive technical support for any endeavor using the EVM outside of the uses expressly described in the EVM User's Guide. Would you like me to send the link to the directory in an email to your address provided with your myTI account?

Regarding the Bluetooth module, an implementation was never proven out using Bluetooth with this board. There may have been a goal in design, but such hardware was never tested and as such TI has no way of knowing whether it would have worked. I personally do not know the specific chip that was was to be used as U12, but I can probably dig up the information for you if you'd like. In a similar theme as what I said before, no technical support will be provided if you do decide to make a change to the hardware and the specific change we are discussing has never been implemented on this board to my knowledge, so you'd be the first.

  • Hello Brian,

Thanks for your reply, I totally understand the rules and I will only use it for the research purpose. Please do send me the link of the source files to my email address. And I will really appreciate if you could find the specification of the Bluetooth module U12 for me.

    Best Regards
