Regarding Reading data through SPI in AFE4490

Hello Everyone,

Can I get to know, how to get the Register Values from AFE4490 through the SPI Interface, which has to be read to the Microcontroller ?

In the datasheet, they have mentioned by,

1) Enabling SPI_Read

2) Reading the Address of the Register Values of AFE onto the SPISOMI Pin.

I got this concept. But I am not able to do this through coding,

Can you please put up this interms of the C code ?

Hello Everyone,
Is there any possibility to read the other Registers in AFE4490 through the SPI Communication ?
If it can be accesses, can I know how it is possible ?
Because, in the Datasheet it is being shown only 4 to 6 Registers w.r.t to LED1 and LED2 Values can be accessed from the ADC and SPI in the AFE4490 IC.
So, can I please get the clear clarification on this ?

Hello Harini,

Except for register 0, all other registers are read accessible. Refer to Section 8.6 Register Map of the AFE4490 datasheet for more details.

Refer to Section 8.5.2.2 on how to read the registers through the SPI.

Hello Praveen,
Okay. Thanks for the reply.
Can I know, how is the Gain Setting value being done through the Registers in AFE ?
For example, if I want to set Cf = 10pf & Rf = 10k, how to do this through the Registers ?
I know, some registers are being functionalised for this setting itself.
But please clear me on this, by giving the solution though the above example.

Figure 114 of the datasheet shows register 0x20, which is the TIA gain setting register.
