ADS1299EEG FE Rev B - BIAS SHIELD OPERATIONAL

Hi there

I have a ADS1299EEG FE Rev B evaluation board, and I want to try the "bias shield fuction", but the PCB haven't the components soldered. Does anyone knows the values of the missing components.

  • Hey Leonardo,

There really was not a device in mind for U2 when the board was made. The footprint was placed to allow curious people to try different amplifiers as they saw fit. The footprint should be something relatively standard as far as amplifiers go (looks like a 5 pin DBV), so you should not have a problem selecting a component to place there. In addition, the shield is not necessarily a high-precision feature, so I'd have to say that as long as an amplifier with the correct power supply and I/O range are selected, the voltage follower will work as expected.
