250kHz Sinwave using DAC

Hi all,

Our customer would like to make 250kHz Sinwave using DAC and Amp.
What type of DAC or Amp should we use?
If you have some advice, could you let us know?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hello Matsumoto san,

I suspect this is probably going to be a High Speed DAC rather than a Precision DAC.

Just to make sure, how many points do you plan to use for each period of the sine wave?

What is the amplitude of the sine wave you want to generate?

Do you have any other design requirements?

Thank you for your so kind reply!
Should we contribue our request at High Speed DAC?

How many points do you plan to use for each period of the sine wave?
->We guess that our customer maybe need at least 10 points or max 20 points.

What is the amplitude of the sine wave you want to generate?
->We are sorry that it is not decided. However it will be -5V upto 5V.

Do you have any other design requirements?
->About other desig,  we make the design using CPU(C2000).

    We need your help.

    Kind regards,

Yes, I think that would be wise.
Based on your answers, I think that you will need a High Speed DACs. Precision DACs focus on high DC precision, so the settling time of our DACs will not be able to keep up with the high speed waveform you are trying to generate.

Please provide the High Speed team, with the same information you provided me, this will speed up the process.

    OK, Thanks.
