DC Component in ADS1299

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1299

Hello,

I am working on EEG acquisition using ADS1299 for MRCP. For this purpose I need to retain the DC component of the EEG signal. So the question is if I use ADS1299 will it retain the DC component in EEG signal or will it corrupt the DC component?

Regards.

  • Hey Qamar,

There is no high pass filter on the ADS1299 so the DC information will be retained. In fact, one of the benefits to using such a high resolution ADC is that you can study very small signals without losing the DC voltage on which those signals rest.
