In the data sheet for the DAC8218 (sheet 54- POWER-SUPPLY NOISE), it states that "The 1μF to 10μF capacitors must be
the tantalum-bead type". However looking at the evaluation board and BOM, the capacitors used are ceramic. which is correct?

Hi David,
This seems to have been something carried over from an older datasheet. Using ceramic capacitors is perfectly okay with the DAC8218. The lower ESR will help them be more effective.
