Package dimensions for ECG (holter monitor)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1292, ADS1298

I was wondering where may I see what integrated circuit package dimensions are used in materials used in Ultra Low Power, 18 bit Precision ECG Data Acquisition System? I would like to recreate the same project but I'm stuck with the order since I don't know which versions exactly should I order to match the project design resources.

I would also like to ask for a recommendation on what package dimensions should I choose for ADS1292 and ADS1298 (Holter monitor purpose)? What's the difference between TQFP and VQFN?

Thanks for help in advance!

  • Hey vix3c,

You have access to all of the design files for that TI Precision Design by clicking "Design Archive" on the first page of that PDF. That will contain schematics, Gerbers, Altium layout files, and a complete BOM.

A TQFP is a Thin Quad Flat Pack, which is a square package with leads. A QFN is a Quad Flat pack with No leads, which is a square leadless package. For both of those parts and for all TI ICs, you will be able to find the mechanical specifications of the packages at the end of the datasheet. You should chose the one which makes sense for your application (i.e. size and assembly capability).
