AFE4403 WATCH EVM: Modifying parameters with and without the GUI

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4403

Hello,

I have proven that with the AFE4403 EVM GUI I'm able to modify some of the AFE4403 parameters

Thus, I have two questions:

1. How can I record the HR signal, for example during 2hrs? Which parameters should I change?

2.Due that my purpose is to use the device without the GUI, being the user who decides when starts and stops recording the signal, ie controlling the state machine, how could I modify the LED that is measuring the signal or the gain of the TIA?

Best regards
Rocío.

  • Rocio,

    1. You can record the HR with a peak detect algorithm over a certain period of time.
Refer to the FAQ (#18) or more information: https://e2e.ti.com/support/applications/high_reliability/f/30/t/369445

    2. You can modify all of these settings with the AFE registers.

  • Thank you for the info,

    Related to the question 1:
What I asked in the question 1 it's how I can measure the signal from the leds during more time that the 2048 samples that appear in the GUI as default.
For example, I want to obtain a signal of 2 hours of duration, instead of the little signal that appears in the GUI as default.

    Related to the question 2:
How could I modify the AFE registers?
In the low level Configuration subtab from the GUI?
How could I do it without the GUI?

    Best regards

    Rocío
  • Thank you for the info,

Due to the last post has not been answered, I would like to explain better which are my doubts:

    Related to the question 2:

-Where could I modify the AFE registers? In the low level Configuration subtab from the GUI?

-When the AFE registers are modified with the GUI, are they stored in the device configuration? or every time you turn on the device I have to go back to reconfigure?

-How could I do it without the GUI?

    Best regards

    Rocío
  • 1. You can modify with the low level configuration tab
    2. They are not stored, if you repower up then you must load the configuration again, but you can save the file and load at the start each time.
    3. You can do this without the GUI by changing the firmware on your own.
