AFE4403 Watch EVM accelerometers

Hi,

It appears that the default firmware for the AFE4403 Watch EVM doesn't give access/collect any data from the accelerometers which are part of the EVM hardware. Is the only way to access the outputs from these accelerometers to write a custom firmware, or is there an alternative approach?

We want to assess the AFE4403 performance under motion, but can only do this if we've got the accelerometer signals to use to clean up the PPG trace.

Alex,

That is correct. We put the circuit there as an option for use.

Thanks for your quick answer, although I'm not sure it completely answers my intended question.

Does the firmware that ships with the EVM, or the slaa671 firmware that can be downloaded, collect the accelerometer data in addition to the PPG? Or, if we want accel+PPG at the same time to fully evaluate the EVM, can this only be done if we write our own firmware?

The FW that ships with the EVM does not include accelerometer data.

If you would like to write FW for this function, then this can be achieved.
