AFE4403 calibration routine and ambient cancellation help

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4403, AFE4403EVM

Dear Community Members,

I have been using the AFE4403 SOC to build a wearable device for HRM and pulse oximetry applications.

There is good documentation regarding the SOC's capability and features for ambient light cancellation, calibration routines.

I am interested to know if anyone has tested these features and the level of accuracy the ambient light cancellation can have for a dynamic moving environment.

Is there  any source code provided for ambient light cancellation and calibration routine (TI or open source) that can be used?

Thanks in advance for replying.

Best Regards,

  • Hello Sunny,

Thank you for considering the AFE4403 for your application and providing a positive feedback on the AFE4403 documentation.

I will defer to other AFE4403 users in the forum to comment on the ambient light cancellation feature for dynamically changing ambient environment.
Let us know if you have encountered any specific issues with your system to help us debug.

The AFE4403 firmware source (with the calibration routine as a library API) is available at the AFE4403EVM tools page (www.ti.com/.../afe4403evm Documents)
We provide the source code for the calibration routine when the business case warrants. Feel free to friend me and make the case. We can take the conversation offline.
  • Hi Praveen,
