ADS1299 - Logic level

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1299

I am using ADS1299 with arduino.

Although, arduino outputs high level digital signals as 5V.

Checking ADS1299 datasheet, it says the maximum input voltage for logic level high is DVDD + 0.1

Since I am using a 3.3V digital supply, this means that my maximum value for logic level high is 3.4 V.

So my question is: Is it a problem to use arduino, even though its output signals are 5V when in high level?

Thanks

  • Hey JJ,

You should not apply a voltage level above what is indicated in the Absolute Maximums section. You may not see degradation immediately, but our warranty for quality does not cover scenarios where the device is used in a way that is contradictory to the data sheet.
