Would ADS1291 work if CS is always low?

I have only one ADS1291 Chip designed and the IC has its only SPI Bus.

Do i still have to use CS?

    Hey Michael,

    I believe it will, but you should not attach other devices to that bus since when CS is low the ADS1291 can take commands which were perhaps intended for another slave device. In addition, the DOUT pin which is connected to MISO will be actively driven when CS is low versus being tri-state when it is high.
