About input pulse of DDC232

Please let me know about DDC232 input below.

I think that DDC232 input is negative pulse.

But customer want to use positive pulse to DDC232 input.

Is there a measure of positive input? 

※For example, reverse to PWR and GND. is it correct?

If there is other way, please let me know.

By customer schedule, positive input can't modify.

    Unfortunately the DDC232 can only integrate negative charge. For positive charge there is only the 0.4% of device offset which we built in to protect against positive leakage currents.

    Is the customer already using the DDC232? Is it possible for them to try another device from our product line? If so we can make some suggestions.

    Customer is already using DDC232, but they can try another device.
    Customer request that condition of spec is below.
    ①Small circuit size (Smaller than DDC232)
    ②Faster (or even) than DDC232:6ksps.

    Sorry for the delay, holidays here in the USA.

    For negative pulses we might be able to use a device from another family in our group. In order to check the possibility, we need to know the following:

    1. Approximate number of channels needed.
    2. Approximate charge range expected. Basically we need to know how much charge their pulses will be so we can find a device that will be able to handle it.
    3. Will they be using an FPGA or similar to provide timing signals and data capture?

      Basically we need to know how much charge their pulses will be so we can find a device that will be able to handle it.
    ⇒Charge range is Max_10000pC (10nC).

    3. Will they be using an FPGA or similar to provide timing signals and data capture?
    ⇒Customer will FPGA control.
      Additional request, number of control line is nearly equal DDCxxx-control line.
      Because of customer can't afford layout space, much control line is difficult.

    We can easily support 96 channels.

    The bigger issue is that even using the DDC in a normal way, the max charge we can support is 1000pC with the 2-channel DDC112. The DDC232 only supports up to 350pC. I was thinking of suggesting the AFE1256 or AFE0064 because of the charge polarity but those devices have even smaller ranges at 10pC max.

    Please let me know your thoughts.

    ・DDC112 is not match because sampling rate is 3ksps.
    ・I interested in AFE0064.
    AFE0064 can use positive input pulse for INTUPz pin select, is it correct?
    ・I want to check AFE1256 datasheet.
    Can you give me AFE1256 all datasheet?
    or, is it difficult for NDA?

    You are correct on the AFE0064 INTUPz pin operation.

    For the AFE1256 we actually don't require an NDA and we can share that info. Please email me the customer's information (adamsidelsky(at)ti(dot)com).

    For the AFE1256, there are a few things to consider vs. the DDC devices:
    1. Charge range is small at Max 9.8pC
    2. The device is only available in COF (chip on film) package or gold bump on die package, not BGA.
    3. Device architecture is different and more timing signals from an external controller such as FPGA are needed.
