ADS8698 - Datasheet Question - IDVDD_DYN parameter

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS8698

In the datasheet for the ADS8698 on page 9 for the parameter "IDVDD_DYN" the current draw is 0.5 mA. Is that continuous baseline current draw separate from all other functions? So even if the device were in power down the digital supply requirement would still be 0.5 mA?

Thanks for your time,

Jake

  •  Hi Jake,

IDVDD_DYN is the dynamic digital supply current consumption while the device is sampling at maximum data rate of 500kSPS with AVDD=5V and DVDD =3.3V output = 0000h.

The datasheet does not provide a guaranteed current consumption spec for DVDD at power down; however,  IDVDD while on power–down is typically less than 1uA.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Luis
